At Tecmark, we’re pleased to announce the continued expansion of our services with Online Reputation Management.
While public relations has traditionally seen to it that the positive reputation of a business is upheld offline, there is a growing importance to apply some of the same concepts digitally. Around 80% of consumers research a potential purchase online before buying, irrespective of whether they will go ahead to make this purchase on or offline. The Internet has seen to it that consumers have a wealth of information at their fingertips and researching companies from whom they may be considering making a purchase is easier than ever before.
Such research often starts with a search for the company name in a major search engine, such as Google. While the listings will often return the company’s own website first, the results underneath that could be anything. They may be blogs or forums on which members of the public or former employees have discussed the company. Blogs and forums are an open platform on which anyone can say pretty much anything about any business and anybody else can read that information freely.
Through its online reputation management services, Tecmark can assist businesses in taking control of what is visible about their company online, in dealing with any ‘negative online press’ and building up a positive profile on the Internet.

Tecmark Systems Ltd has extended is online marketing and SEO services to businesses in Liverpool and the surrounding areas. This comes after a number of highly successful campaigns for clients in the Greater Manchester area.
Through Tecmark’s digital marketing and SEO, Liverpool based businesses can now increase their online prominence and make their website visible to the people searching for the products and services they provide.
Social media sites and search engines have exploded in popularity and now play a massive role in assisting consumers in making their buying decisions. As such, the value of online specific marketing cannot be underestimated.
Tecmark’s Search Director, Kevin Jones notes that, “73% of households make purchases online and around 80% of consumers research their potential purchases on the Internet before deciding what to buy and where to buy it from. This equates to a massive number of potential customers that businesses are missing out on if they fail the market themselves online.”
At Tecmark, we attribute a large amount of our previous success to the time invested prior to beginning the campaign. This is time spent familiarising ourselves with the client’s business, researching their market and gaining a full understanding of their expectations from the SEO campaign. This enables Tecmark to tailor strategies to the specific sector and maximise the return.

Tecmark is pleased to announce the release of Numberstore, an iPhone application developed for Zimo Communications Ltd that will allow iPhone users to use their available bundled minutes to dial freephone 0800 numbers and avoid the exuberant additional charges applied by the mobile operators.
While 0800 numbers are free to dial from landlines, it continues to remain the case that when dialled from a mobile phone, frustratingly the user is charged an excess, even if they have an allowance of bundled minutes. Zimo Communications came up with a concept that offers a solution to this frustration and approached Tecmark to turn the idea into an iPhone app. Tecmark developers then used existing Zimo technology to develop Numberstore for the iPhone. When a user launches the app and dials a freephone 0800 number, the application, fetches a standard UK telephone number from Zimo’s Numberstore database. The iPhone then uses this standard UK number instead of the freephone number, meaning that the call counts as a standard geographic rate call. For iPhone users who have remaining minutes in their monthly bundle the call is inclusive and even if the user is outside their monthly allowance they will only pay for a standard geographic rate call rather than the exuberant charge that all the mobile operators levy for dialling 0800 numbers. The app is easy to use and works with 0800, 0500 and 0808 freephone numbers.
The team at Tecmark is delighted to have completed the project for Zimo Communications, whose excellent concept is now a fully functional and incredibly useful application. iPhone users can start to benefit from Numberstore immediately, as the application is available right now for free download from the Apple App Store.
You can download Numberstore from here.

At Tecmark Systems Ltd, we’re absolutely thrilled to have recently obtained ISO 9001 certification.
The ISO 9001 is a globally recognised management standard. There are currently 1 million organisations worldwide, across 170 countries who have achieved the standard. In order to meet the requirements for this accreditation, an organisation must implement and practice high quality processes and operations within the company, which then in turn ensure the provision of high quality, efficient services for its clients.
It has been a huge priority for Tecmark, right from the outset, to ensure that processes both internally and externally meet incredibly high standards. To have obtained the ISO 9001 certification confirms that we meet such standards and this is a major milestone for us, as noted by Managing Director, Richard Heyes.
‘We’re absolutely delighted to have obtained this certification. To have achieved the ISO 9001 puts us in a great position as we move forwards and continue to grow. It ensures that we already have the right operations in place and that our clients are getting the best from us through the entire process.’
Tecmark’s ISO 9001 certification was awarded at the end of November 2009.

Manchester’s aspiring developers and digital media specialists are to be offered a unique opportunity to take part in the conceptualisation and development of a functional iPhone application. The project will see Trafford College students and Tecmark iPhone developers join forces for three months in order to create an iPhone app for a Tecmark client.
Mobile applications are proving cutting edge in the world of digital marketing and for the talented young developers at Trafford College, the opportunity will engage them fully in the creation of an app right from thinking up the idea and the functionality to applying this to meet the requirements of a business client.
Tecmark director, Kevin Jones notes that “The number of enquiries we are receiving in regard to iPhone app development projects is incredible. This is such a massively growing area with lots of potential and plenty of scope for creativity. We’re really looking forward to working with a group of innovative, young developers on one of the projects.”
The collaboration will see Tecmark developers offer workshops at Trafford College before students are given a brief around which to think up their own application idea. Students will then have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to Tecmark’s directors, Richard Heyes and Kevin Jones, before receiving feedback with which to further develop their concept. Tecmark will then invite the students into its city centre offices, where the most promising ideas will be revisited. The ultimate aim is to turn one of these concepts into a functioning application for a client.
The opportunity will provide hands on experience to students in a real business environment and an insight into the ever developing world of mobile applications and their uses in digital marketing.
