Junior Front-End Developer

MANCHESTER | UP TO £25,000 | PERMANENT

We are on the lookout for a Junior Front End Developer to join the growing development team at our fast paced, integrated digital agency. This role is perfect for individuals just starting their career journey in web development, or maybe looking for their first role after an apprenticeship, course or degree. 

If you have been building applications in your spare time, then we would also like to see you! You will have guidance and support from the whole team to help grow your knowledge and experience.

Your day could involve working with any of our clients across sectors including retail, health, legal, corporate and recruitment services to build beautiful, responsive websites. 

This can involve everything from building the backend of WordPress’s admin section using Advanced Custom Fields to the HTML, CSS and JavaScript on the front end. You’ll have full involvement from the day you start, applying your experience and knowledge to help our clients’ websites reach their full potential.

Ideals Skills:

  • Experience working with CMS systems such as WordPress
  • Strong HTML and HTML5 skills 
  • Solid CSS, LESS and SASS knowledge and a good level of experience with CSS3 animations
  • A breadth of Javascript knowledge and excellent knowledge of popular javascript libraries/frameworks
  • Working knowledge of PHP & MySQL. Knowledge of Ruby and .net frameworks also desirable
  • Strong skills with responsive & mobile techniques
  • Good eye for design
  • Ability to debug front-end site issues using inspector tools
  • Knowledge of tools & frameworks such as Grunt, Node, Bower, Require, etc

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the team have been working remotely. We will likely continue to work remotely in the future, and will have flexible working options available. 

Our offices are located in Exchange Quay and have a dedicated tram stop with easy access to the city centre and MediaCityUK.  There is also plenty of car parking, a post office, and a mix of leisure and retail amenities in the development to keep everything that you need at hand.
