We are proud to announce the launch of the Scrapyard Sculpture Exhibition in conjunction with Dronsfields and Manchester Metropolitan University. Dronsfields have donated Mercedes parts from their lot to the students of MMU who have used them create original pieces of art.
The Scrapyard Sculpture Exhibition will take place on Thursday 3rd April in the impressive Benzie Building in Manchester. The event starts a 6pm, and guests will have the opportunity to view the sculptures, including a seven-foot robot, and meet the artists.
The sculptures will then be auctioned online to raise money for local charities. The proceeds from the auction will be divided evenly between Joining Jack, Groundwork, Forever Manchester, The Christie at Oldham, Francis House and Kingfisher Community Special School.
The MMU students who volunteered to take part in this project include Chloe Herbert, Chris Thorpe, Amy Field, Jodie Cheung, Sue Rowlands, Alexander Morrison, Kieren March and Robin Broadley.
Admission to the event is free but tickets are in high demand. If you want to make a reservation, contact us at [email protected].
